David joined the firm in 2016 and represents individuals and businesses in matters related to administrative, commercial, environmental, municipal, and real estate law. David is the attorney for the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners and assists clients with estate planning (including drafting of wills and trusts) and with estate administration.
A native of Wake Forest, NC, David earned degrees from North Carolina State University and the Florida State University College of Law. After law school, David practiced law as a partner in the firm of Hornthal, Riley, Ellis & Maland, LLP. David has served as the County Attorney for Tyrrell County and the Attorney for the Tyrrell County Department of Social Services.
